Let's Get Personal
Let's start at the beginning. Athleticism is in my genes. I grew up playing every sport under the sun. High school is where I could rely on sports to keep me in shape, not focused at all on nutrition and the dietary needs that my body craved. I started gaining weight and was extremely unhappy with my body. Fast forward to college where sports ended and I was left without direction and knowledge about my wellness. "How do I devise a workout routine?" Maybe if I eat less I can achieve the body that I want. This mindset led me down an unhealthy cycle. Restricting my body of the nutrients it needed, then finding myself binging on whatever was in sight. I would then find myself at the gym the next day to "burn off" the gluttonous amount that I had eaten the night before. I remember thinking that I was never going to get better and that I was stuck at rock bottom.
It wasn't util the summer of 2025 did I realize that diet and nutrition are meant to add to my life, not take away from it. I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and this is what prompted change. I started fueling my body with what it needed and seeing nutrition and exercise as a form of medication. This led to a healthier mindset around lifestyle choices. The more I educate myself with fitness and nutrition, the more I fall in love with it. I am hoping to do the same with you.
Reclaiming My Health
As I continue on with my health and wellness journey, the more I fall in love with fitness and nutrition. Times have not always been easy, but it has been worth every second. As you get ready to embark on your fitness journey, know that everyone starts from the beginning.
